I love a good neutral like anyone else, but leopard as a neutral is hands down one of my favorites. I love mixing and matching leopard as a staple piece in my wardrobe and claiming it as a neutral!
It happened to be really cold outside when we shot these looks, so layering was key in making this outfit work. I knew I wanted to wear this leopard dress and make it stand out in the outfit, but still needed to layer to stay warm… while still looking chic.
I decided to wear this long cardigan over it and belt it with a more recent purchase, this Moschino belt. I wanted to play off the colors in the leopard, so I chose black and tan as a good way to layer these pieces, while still keeping the look chic (and warm).
Since the dress had a bit of a slit in it, I figured I would go with boots rather than heels. I liked the idea of making this look totally winter appropriate, especially for someone trying to keep warm in these temps!
The coat on top was used for some photos to show that this look can be fully layered for winter, but still look chic and presentable for any occasion. I want to make my outfits easy to replicate for the actual season, and not make it look crazy just being in a leopard dress in the middle of winter!
