Just another day and another visit to the library to do a little bit of light reading! Totally kidding, but it does make for a good story about why I am dressed like this!
DC has still been so cold, so finding places inside to shoot is still crucial. This library (The Francis Gregory Neighborhood Library) was a great spot we found with tons of natural lighting and gorgeous architecture. I was particularly drawn to how beautiful it was inside and knew it would be such a great spot for photos.
I feel like trying to find a good indoor spot with good natural lighting can be so tricky, especially in the winter months when people tend to be inside so much more often. We definitely had our work cut out for us when trying to find some new places.
Thankfully, we stumbled upon this library and it was everything I hoped it would be. My photographer is great about pairing places with looks, so I appreciated that my skirt had some geometry to it, similar to that of the building.
Since it is still winter, I wanted to make sure that I was wearing something that can still be worn outside in colder temps, despite shooting content inside. I loved this long cardigan from Show Me Your Mumu and was so excited to wear it during the winter season.
Since the duster was a bit more neutral, I wanted to make sure the boots worked with both the sweater and the skirt. I liked the mix of denim with the neutrals, especially since I still love a crisp neutral or white hue during these months.
